... or should i say, the lack thereof, when it comes to a great number of ultimately unprofitable people in this less-becoming, modern society. i cant speak for everyone, but i know that i want to be successful. NOT a celebrity. i am an artist. im not famous, but thats okay, because i know WHO I AM and what creative path i choose to follow every single day. now dont get me wrong, SOME publicity IS sanctioned and plays a vital role in becoming a successful individual. but FAME (especially the arrogant, self-proclaimed type) itself, to so many people, actually has a NEGATIVE effect on potentially becoming as successful as possible. am i the only one who notices this? c'mon people, i know many of you can agree.

its like this... ill give you an example of what i mean; me n my friend joe were kickin it at my house earlier on, watching music videos. (and thats why i felt absolutely compelled to make that preceding post) it was sooooooooo daaaaammmmmmnnnnnnn annoooyyyyyyinnnngggg. VIDEO AFTER VIDEO on MTV jams, all you saw was "rappers" throwing money in the air, talking about how much money they want you to think they have, GLOATING at all of their so-called "accomplishments" or the halfway decent, still probably ugly cars they drive... SHIT! it makes me siiiiiickk. instead of PROVING themselves as rappers or artists, and INSTEAD of promoting an actual struggle and hard work, they would have you to think that they are actually SOMEBODY. half of them i have never even heard of a day in my life, and i know that they dont have REAL money! GOD PLLEEEEAAAASSEEE HELP!! the time and money spent on the useless music videos that we actually see, COULD BE diverted into something positive, and in turn, those "rappers" could be famous, or SUCCESSFUL for all the RIGHT reasons. unfortunately, this is the EXACT OPPOSITE thought pattern for many of our CELEBRITIES or even "HEROES" that people turn to when searching for success.

we need to search within OURSELVES in order to find the TRUE meaning of success. think about it, you know its true.

and this, my fellow peers, is what you call some REAL SHIT.

... after we smoke. by the way, this is where i got the idea for my vans. this is the exact spot where we chiefed. just look at the ground. its funny how some things(recreational activities) make you notice some other things, like the pattern on the cement. natural distortion, to me, is art. so heres where it came from.

and after that was done, we sampled some music and made beats. this is my boy Z from preHISTORIC. theyre siiick! ill make a post for them pretty soon. and yeah, its a dreamcast. how you gona act?!?!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DONT KNOW: Yeah, I smoke. Weed, pot, and bud, are all words that describe the cannabis plant itself. Pothead, fiend, immature, and irresponsible are words generally associated with those who smoke regularly. These words and judgements are predicated upon the unrealistic idea that everyone who smokes marijuana does nothing with their life. They're "going nowhere" or "wasting their lives away" by smoking. Now dont get me wrong, there are certainly people in this world who would prove such judgements to be truth.But as for me, honestly im damn tired. Tired of the accusations, tired of being judged, tired of police trying to enforce the distasteful laws against marijuana. It doesnt necessarily frustrate me, but im just tired of it all. All i can do is sit back, evaluate, smile, and roll another blunt.When are people going to take everything seriously?? People are ignorant. They need to open their eyes to the positive realities of smoking weed instead of just accepting what they assume to be negative and true. Marijuana is harmless. Do your research. No one has ever died from smoking too much weed. There's no such thing as a "marijuana overdose." But you can go to the liquor store, buy a $7 bottle of vodka instead, and die from alcohol poisoning, yet would be totally legal. (Stupid, but hey, thats just reality.) Marijuana is prescribed to those with psychological complications, cancer patients, and people who suffer with chronic pain. So why is it still illegal? Beats me. Isnt our country in an economic crisis? Heres an article I found on the internet:

If all this is possible in the state of California alone, just imagine full legalization for our entire country. Crazy right? Think about it. Im a real people person. I like talking to people and hearing their personal opinions, as long as they can use logic and back up their ideas with actual facts. Dont just come to me and say, "smoking kills your brain cells." I laugh. The window of opportunity is slowly but surely closing in on those who oppose marijuana use. It will be legal one day. Just accept it...

so yeah, heres the picture of that book that i just mentioned in my first post. its called "how to be an explorer of the world" by keri smith. its a great book. it gets you to document and record lots of things. everyday normal stuff... stuff that we overlook on an everyday basis and dont even recognize the aspects as being "artistic". i always try my best though, especially after reading this. go buy it!

this blog is based on my life... and my perception of random stuff, basically. i like to have opinions and i like to talk. typing is cool too, i guess. sometimes i dont like using capital letters or apostrophes (like right now) cus im too lazy to reach my finger all the way over to the shift key. and sometimes i misspell stuff on purpose. maybe one day ill be more professional... ah well! ummm, oh yeah i like art. painting. drawing. photography. you know, all that good stuff. i think one day ill just start writing a book, if i feel it in my heart to do that. if this blog helps me become successful, then i see no reason to not include it as part of my book. well- not even really a book; just a significant collection of random, semi-categorized thoughts on some paper, with a cool cover, that i'll draw of course. i just bought a pretty cool book. its called "how to be an explorer of the world" and i forget who wrote it. but my recreational activities have nothing to do with that i swear! but youll find out soon cus i intend to put up a picture of the cover so you can all go out and buy it! im pretty random. this will be a blog that you either love or hate, its just my style and quite frankly, i dont care which you choose. if your a person similar to myself, then youll probably love it. im a pretty liberal person. and i always want to hear about people; what they think and why they think that way. i dont like to judge people, but i do subconsciously... we all do, forreal. hopefully throughout my blog, no matter what subject im stumbling over, youll see some sort of relevance that ties everything together. its just me being me, enjoy... peeeacce.
